Good afternoon Marlin families,

A reminder that there is no practice today, May 25th, to commemorate Memorial Day. We will resume our practice schedule tomorrow, May 26th.

Here is this week’s “Marlin Message”, including an important update to this week’s practice schedule.

Practice This Week

With the cold and rainy weekend, the pool temperature has dropped from last week’s comfortable conditions. As such, we will once again need to adapt our practice plans.

For this week, all Yellow group swimmers will return to practicing in the indoor pool. For Green, Junior, and Senior group swimmers, a decision on whether they will practice in the water or have dryland practice will be made by tomorrow afternoon.

Select Green group swimmers who are new to competitive swimming (i.e., have not been on a previous summer swim team in the past) will be permitted to practice in the indoor pool to continue to develop their in-water swimming skills ahead of our first meet.

We will continue to operate on the below schedule for this week, Tuesday through Friday:

• 5:15p - 6:00p - Yellow group swimmers with the last name A-L will have in-water practice in the indoor pool
• 5:15p - 6:00p - Green group swimmers will have practice at the outdoor pool, either in the water (conditions permitting) or dryland on deck
• 6:10p - 6:55p - Yellow group swimmers with the last name M-Z will have in-water practice in the indoor pool
• 6:00p - 7:00p - Junior and senior group swimmers will have practice at the outdoor pool, either in the water (conditions permitting) or dryland on deck

Parent Meeting

We will have a parent meeting on Monday, June 1st at 6:00p at the FoxCreek pool. During the meeting we will review swimmer/parent expectations, meet basics, and volunteer jobs and requirements.

The information shared at the parent meeting will be shared out to those who can’t be in attendance.
