Good evening Marlin families,

Happy first meet week! I’m excited to see our Marlin swimmers in action tomorrow in our first meet of the 2026 summer swim season! Swimmers, be sure to report to the pool deck by 4:30p and check in with Cary Irvine. Warm-ups start at 4:50p and the first event will kick off at 6:00p. Be sure to dress up for our beach theme!

If you haven’t done so, please read yesterday’s e-mail from Cary about some dual meet expectations. The attachment with meet information is included in this message. Future Friday

Our first “Future Friday” practice of the season was a blast! It was great seeing Marlins of all ages work together and learn from one another in preparation for our first meet!

We will be having another “Future Friday” practice this Friday, June 12th. This week, the older Marlin swimmers will be helping teach and train our younger Marlins in backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Reminder that for a “Future Friday” practice, all swimmers in Yellow, Green, Junior, and Senior groups practice together from 8:00a-10:00a, and Mini Marlins will practice at the usual 10:00a-10:30a time slot.

Swimmer Recognition

We will begin recognizing our “Swimmer of the Week” and Most Spirited swimmers this Friday. The “Swimmer of the Week” will represent one swimmer aged 10 and under and one swimmer aged 11 and older whose exemplary performance and sportsmanship at the meet stood out to the coaching staff; the winner of the “Swimmer of the Week” will receive a fan chain necklace with the FoxCreek logo. The “Most Spirited” swimmer will represent two athletes who exemplify Marlin spirit on meet day; the “Most Spirited” swimmers will receive a sash and a large rubber ruck.

Additionally, rubber ducks for “Gold” and “Silver” qualifying times will be distributed during practice on Friday.

Deadline for Magnolia Green Meet

The deadline to register for the next meet, held on Tuesday June 16th at Magnolia Green is midnight on Wednesday, June 10th. If you haven't already, please be sure to set your status for the meet as either "Attending" or "Not Attending."
